Originally from North Wales, Sam Greenwood has become an integral part of the techno scene in Ireland, since he moved to Dublin 13 years ago.
His reputation preceded him off the back of the hugely popular club night he ran in Cambridge, ‘The Priory’, hosting and playing alongside acts such as Luke Slater, Carl Craig, Paul Woolford, Billy Nasty, Luke Vibert, Andrew Weatherall, Radioactive Man, Altern 8, Derek Carter, Kevin Saunderson and many more over an iconic 6 year period.
Since moving to Ireland, his ear for dance music and techno especially has seen him feature on club shows and festival lineups across the country, supporting everyone from Dax J, Clouds, Stranger, Perc and Slam, to curating The Rave In The Woods stage at Electric Picnic, Otherside Festival and BD Festival, plus club nights with the best established and up-and-coming Irish talent, quickly cementing his name in the Irish dance music scene.
His work with the much loved Dublin club Hangar, along with running the legendary Techno & Cans collective has seen him involved with some of the most well established promoters in the country. He is also hugely respected for helping to launch the careers of numerous Irish acts through his agency The Building Society, Ireland's leading dance music agency. All this alongside running Ireland's much loved dance music platform, Four Four Magazine.
